About SBIP

SBIP is Singapore Blockchain Innovation Programme.

We are a national programme supported by the National Research Foundation (NRF) and hosted by the National University of Singapore (NUS) We have joint collaborations with various Government Agencies and Institudes of Higher Learnings in Singapore such as Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), Enterprise Singapore (ESG), Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), Government Technology Agency (GovTech), ST Engineering, Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*Star), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore Management University (SMU) and Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).

We support local companies in blockchain adoption and innovation through Research and Development (R&D). SBIP also has a membership programme.

No, we cannot guarantee grants but we can direct you to our collaborators' and partners' funding programmes.

Our membership is a programme mandated policy and it helps with efficient allocation of resources.

You can apply for both together as we need the membership to work with you.

Hosted under NUS, we provide R&D support and resources for innovation projects, PoC, PoV, technical, consultation and publication support. In addition, we will also provide a team to support your PoC projects and attention to your projects in our larger meetings.

Apart from that, we offer marketing, networking and knowledge sharing opportunities for our members through seminars, workshops and hackathons.

As long as the company becomes a member of SBIP, and the project proposal is aligned with SBIP's directions, we can help the company with the implementation. Please note that the project will be done under a Research Collaboration Agreement governed by NUS's rules.

Technical support will go deeper into the technical and implementation details, source code, design, even at the level of debugging, benchmarking.

Consultation support is at a higher level (also with more senior members of SBIP) - e.g., design of a system, long term blockchain strategy, etc.

Yes, we can explore opportunities. Please contact [email protected]

You can licence one of our research projects and implement a state-of-the-art blockchain technology with the help of our researchers.
