Singapore Blockchain Innovation Programme (SBIP) is a collaborative and nationwide technical community, hosted by the National Research Foundation, advancing blockchain technologies for business.

SBIP aims to unite communities of software developers in Singapore to build next-generation blockchain frameworks and to provide industrial blockchain infrastructure support.

Industrial Blockchain Infrastructural Support

Apart from its research targets, SBIP’s objective is to build up a blockchain software ecosystem to provide infrastructural support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Singapore.

Research and Development

The core of the SBIP blockchain ecosystem is based on the research outcomes from the NUS Database System Research lab. The novelty and application prospects of this research are well-recognized in academia, being published in top-tier journals and international conferences.

Is a distributed ledger compatible with Hyperledger Fabric, incorporating enhancements such as sharding, real-time provenance query, and concurrency control for smart contract parallelism.

Is a blockchain benchmarking framework which allows users to measure the performance of a specific blockchain implementation with a set of workloads.

Is an embeddable ledger storage compliant with blockchain data properties such as immutability and tamper-evidence.

SBIP aims to explore the next-generation of blockchain infrastructural support, towards advancing the technology and keeping Singapore top in the world.
